Genesys Logic Announces GL820 USB 2.0 Flash Drive Controller Advance Date:2004/02/14

Genesys Logic, Inc., a world leader in the provision of USB 2.0 flash drive controllers, today announced that its GL820 has passed the USB-IF (USB Implementers Forum) High Speed Bus Power Logo.

 

The GL820 complies with USB 2.0 high-speed/full-speed specifications, providing a blazing fast read (13.5MB/sec)/write (10.5MB/sec) transfer rate with only one 8-bit 50ns SLC NAND flash. The GL820 offers extensive compatibility for support of multiple NAND flash, including Samsung, SanDisk, Toshiba, and SLC NAND, as well as future Micron, Infineon, Renesas, and ST-Hynix solutions. With embedded code flash to support ISP function, the GL820 extends design flexibility and application utility.
